Marine returns for his weddingDaniela and Tim’s Wedding in Adisson IL

Marine Returns Home to Marry Beautiful Romanian

Tim and Daniela have a beautiful story and background together and I really enjoyed sharing the wonderful moment with both of them. The couple had been together for quite some time and were impatiently waiting to get married. However, Tim is a Marine and was overseas, so he and Daniela had to wait till he returned safely home before they could officially plan the wedding. Daniela’s parents are originally from Romania, but they have lived in the Chicago area for a good number of years.

Daniela’s grandmother had to travel thousands of miles away from her home to be able to witness her grand daughter’s wedding. When I met her, she was beaming with life and was very happy to see Daniela marrying a nice man.

  • The bride preparation started at Daniela’s home in Adisson. We can see Daniela getting ready and putting on a nice shade of pink lipstick and being careful that none of her makeup accidentally spreads or drops onto her dress. There was a moment where I gave Daniela a bit of privacy to get ready and shortly after that the groom and the groomsmen arrived at her home to take some family photos.

The groom was wearing his traditional medals that he had from the military. His groomsmen were dressed in a classy gray-suit colored tuxedo and the guys had a lot of fun showing off their matching tricolor socks. The groom however, to match with his overall outfit, wore standard black socks. The girls also had the same gray color one-shoulder dress on, matching with yellow flowers and heels.

  • The wedding ceremony was held at St. Mary church, but just before the bridal party arrived there was a strong storm, so the guests had to run into the church in the rain. The future bride had to lift up her dress high above her knees so that the long gown would not get wet and dirty. St. Mary church is a Romanian orthodox church and the wedding ceremony was conducting by a Romanian priest. Daniela’s father walked her down the aisle as friends and family took personal photos of Daniela.

  • Photo Session: After the ceremony, the rain had also cleared, so we took some wedding photos at Schaumburg Village Park. It was a lot of fun trying out different poses with the bridal party. The groom and his best man got a secret celebratory beer before I went off with the newly weds for some one-on-one wedding photos in Schaumburg.

It wasn’t before long before we had to meet everybody back at the reception. They had the wedding at Monty’s Elegant Banquets at around 7pm. The reception in itself was beautifully themed and rich with yellow. The DJ did a great job introducing the party and yellow the wedding color cake was cut followed by a couple of speeches from close friends and family members and a short slide show of both Tim and Daniela’s story.
