Heading to the Morton Arboretum for the Raval-McMillin wedding, I knew that it was going to be an extraordinarily special day. This gorgeous, incredibly in-love couple met 2 years ago and planned a sweet, intimate wedding shared between themselves and the closest family. Walking in, I couldn’t help but notice the natural beauty of the venue surrounded by beautiful forest with lots of European tree and plants species.
Their first official date was at this magical place they talked about the day they met –
the Morton Arboretum.
They could never have imagined how much their lives would have changed over the following year. Their days have been filled with love, laughter, and endless chatter. They share of love for helping people in the community, politics, and, in keeping with their professions, justice for all. The couple got ready in the rooms at the Arboretum and while Dan was getting help from his father and brothers, Jyoti was with her mom and her best friend.
The couple decided to do a first look right outside the venue and at the place where the wedding ceremony was supposed to take place if the weather was better.
The intimate ceremony started at 1:30 Pm and was officiated by a judge, dear friend of Jyoti and Dan.
I find that one of the best things about small weddings is that they lend themselves to especially tender moments. They also somehow feel a little more at ease, and that’s exactly what the vibe was on this beautiful day in July. I’ll leave you with a few more of my favorite moments from the day, and with a big congrats to the newlyweds!
It was really good capturing their intimate wedding and if you want to see another wedding photo at the Morton Arboretum venue here are the images from Lauren and Jason’s wedding.
