Pinstripes South Barrington Wedding

Dana and Randall – Wedding at Pinstripes in South Barrington

Bonjour, everyone!

I am thrilled to announce Dana and Randall’s wedding. These two have known each other  since 2018 and as Dana mentioned they met via Bumble App! Their first date was on January 5th 2019.

I was so happy to be working with Fishman family again!! In 2017 I photographed Lauren’s wedding ( Dana’s sister) at Hilton-Orrington in Evanston and since then we did yearly family sessions.

The couple got ready and did a First Look  at the Marriot in Hoffman Estates then got in the school bus and went in Schaumburg for some bridal portraits. The light was great but there was a brutal humidity that took a tool on everyone.

The wedding was truly beautiful! I love Pinstripes so much! I have done many wedding there and every time I enjoy it.  After the bridal portraits in Schaumburg we went to the Pinstripes in South Barrington for the ceremony and reception.

I asked Dana what was here favorite moment(s) from the wedding and here is her answer: “Our first look was really special for both of us! I have never seen Randall get so emotional! The entire day was perfect. We also loved our ceremony and felt that the whole day and evening was exactly “us”! ”

Dana was very happy with the wedding experience overall: “It was the best day of our lives. We had no hiccups- except for the humid air 🙂 everything was exactly as we pictured it. Our vendors were very communicative and easy to work with, our food was amazing, our first dance was everything we hoped for. Celebrating with our family and friends is a moment we will never forget! ”

Another good point was her advice for other couples planning a wedding: ” Don’t stress the small stuff! Make a list of everything you need to get done and don’t start the next thing until the item before it crossed off your list. Don’t try and fit your wedding into anyone else’s expectations. Make it what you love! ”

The outdoor ceremony at Pinstripes was emotional and beautiful:

I asked Dana to tell me about the dress: Where did you find it, how did you choose it, how did you know it was the one?:” The dress is a soft ball gown/ a line designed by Stella York! I found it at Volles Bridal in Lake Zurich! The crazy thing is, all of the other dresses I tried on were trumpet or mermaid. I had lost a lot of weight so I wanted something to show it off. All of the dresses I tried on looked great but nothing really stood out. Then Gianna (a stylist at Volles) brought THE dress. I immediately felt connected to it based on how it showed off my shoulders, and my figure. I was comfortable in it, the details were beautiful. The top of the dress had tiny Pearl details and that Was a huge part of our theme . That’s when I knew this was the one!”

Dana said that she was most anxious about just the general flow of the wedding. She could see all the pieces but was unsure how they would come together. What if a vendor didn’t show up? They didn’t have a day of coordinator or a wedding planner so really everything was on their shoulders. The outcome was amazing. Clear communication and timelines made sure everything and everyone was where they were supposed to be. Her sister Lauren and new sister Carrie were huge helps in making sure people were where they needed to be and bounced between the boys room and our room to make sure everything was ok! Her mom really helped with the small details of gloves, sanitizers, and fans. Her mom was such a huge helping making detail cards, hotel bags, seating board, and so much more! Not having a wedding planner or coordinator was the most anxious part but having family on board to help with everything made the outcome better than expected. Randall was not nervous or anxious at all during the whole process or even the day of. He’s the calm to Dana’s storm 🙂

The reception  was filled with good food, laughter, dance, fun and dance again!!

Dana said that: ” I never was one of those girls who imagined my wedding at a young age. When we toured venues we knew Pinstripes was for us. It was the perfect mix of recreation and romance. The day was perfect and was exactly as we imagined it when we started planning!”
