Rome Wedding Photography — A Two-Day Photo Session Through The Eternal City

There are cities in the world that feel like they were made for wedding photography, and Rome is at the top of that list. Ancient cobblestone streets, baroque fountains, golden light bouncing off centuries-old architecture — every corner of Rome is a backdrop waiting to be discovered. We had the privilege of spending two incredible days photographing a couple through some of Rome’s most iconic and romantic locations, and the results were nothing short of breathtaking.

Two Days, Four Iconic Locations

Our two-day session took us through the heart of Rome, capturing intimate moments against some of the world’s most recognizable landmarks.
At the Colosseum, the sheer scale and history of the ancient amphitheater created a dramatic contrast with the romance of the couple, timeless in every sense of the word. The textures, the light, and the weight of history made for images unlike anything we capture in Chicago.The Trevi Fountain offered a completely different energy, romantic, playful, and full of life. Early morning is the secret to shooting here before the crowds arrive, and the soft morning light reflecting off the water creates a magical atmosphere that is impossible to replicate.
The Spanish Steps gave us elegant, fashion-forward portraits with the sweeping architecture of Trinità dei Monti church as a backdrop  a location that feels simultaneously grand and intimate.
Finally, the Vatican rounded out our two days with its magnificent scale, stunning gardens, and the kind of quiet grandeur that makes you feel the weight of centuries of history surrounding you.
