Here is a little story of the couple as described by Sarah:

How did the proposal go? Matt flew me out to Aspen, CO last September 2017. Matt’s family has a condo in Aspen so we travel there every year to go hiking, fishing, and to relax. We were hiking in Maroon Bells and reached the vantage point of the trail. We were admiring the beauty when Matt started talking about our years together – then he got down on one knee and proposed.

How would you sum up your wedding in a few sentences? Our wedding was simply magical. We were surrounded by all of our family and friends and were laughing, smiling, and dancing into the wee hours of the night. Everything went smoothly and perfectly, it was the absolute best day of our lives.

What was important to you about your wedding? That Matt and I had the best day of our lives. I wanted the day to not only celebrate our love but to celebrate the union of all of our family and friends. For our wedding to go down as one of the best weddings anyone has been to.

What made your venue “the one”?: I loved everything about the venue. I loved that the deco was rustic chic (it has an Aspen vibe, which is one of our favorite places) that everything was on-site (ceremony, reception, after hours), that everyone was able to stay overnight in the connected hotel, the food/beverages were all inclusive (and so tasty) so we did not have to worry about catering services, that we had a private patio overlooking the golf course, the ballroom has very high ceilings and large windows so we had the light open airy feel, we liked that we could keep the wedding (dancing) going as late as we wanted, that the resort had an on-site bowling alley and pool, and that the onsite bar had a huge patio with a fire pit and outdoor seating which was perfect for after hours. It was everything I was looking for in a wedding venue and one reason why our day was so epic.

What made the day really special to you? That all of our friends and family were together in one room having the time of their lives. It meant the world to us that every single one of our friends went the extra mile to have fun and ensure our day was one to remember forever.

What advice would you give to brides and grooms planning their day? Make sure you love your venue and vendors and that you will not have any regrets in the future. Hire vendors who you connect with and have a good gut feeling about, who you can tell have solid experience, who you can 100% trust to do their job the day of and will exceed your expectations. The most expensive vendors are not always the best vendors but don’t go with the cheapest either, you will be happy you didn’t in the future. There are tons of vendors that understand the high cost of weddings and will work with you to create the perfect package/payment plan for what you’re looking for. These are the best ones and ones you can trust. Hire a videographer! It is WORTH it. Also, hire a day of coordinator (or close friend) to help with the little things the day of so you do not have to worry about anything but having the best day of your life. Having a solid core team all-around (wedding party, vendors, and venue catering team) will make your day as stress-free as mine was –  no stress!

Where did you go on honeymoon? Croatia, Rome, and Santorini, Greece!”

What a joy it was to photograph you on this special day, you two. I hope your years are full of happiness, light and just as much beauty!
