Engagement Photos Chicago Winter

Winter Engagement Photos Chicago with Blake and Steve

It was a lot of fun spending all day with both Blake and Steve and take some winter engagement photos in Chicago. They plan to have their wedding day in July at the Double Tree in downtown Chicago , which is a great location for a wedding. As the wedding wasn’t until Summer, Blake thought it was a good idea to capture some fun winter engagement pictures for their ‘save the date’ wedding cards. She wanted to capture the winter and snow in the photos, so we traveled all over the Chicago area looking for some fun and interesting locations.

We first started at the Millennium Park and visited the Giant Bean. It was a bit difficult because it’s such a high-trafficked location that there’s always people passing by and it can get really crowded at times, so we moved locations and went to the Cloud Gates in Millennium Park instead. Although it’s in the same area, it wasn’t as crowded and we were still lucky enough to see some snow in the city .

After that, we wanted to incorporate a little bit more of Chicago’s famous city, so we traveled to the Magnificent Mile at the Wrigley building. It was great because there were still holiday lights up on the tress and we were able to take advantage of the fantastic scenery with little to almost no one around.

When we finished with that little adventure, we headed to the beach! North Avenue Beach still had some frozen ice and snow hanging on the pier for us to take advantage of. This is when it started to get really, really cold, because it was around this time the sun was going down. However, I think it wouldn’t have officially been winter engagement photos in Chicago without the cold weather!

And to end the long day, we headed to the terrace on Trump Tower to get a great night view of Chicago city. This is one of my favorite locations because I think it captures Chicago’s natural beauty, especially at night, and I’m so glad we ended the night there. The scenery at that time is just breathtaking and beautiful. In a couple of the photos you can see the American flag hanging high in the background, which is the perfect way to end any special occasion.
