Last Saturday during a brutal cold winter day we had another wonderful wedding at Venuti’s in Addison IL. Since it was so cold outside we did almost all the photos at the wedding venue. Paulina got ready in the bridal suite. Since everything took place there I did try a new style called moody which mimics film imagery giving a little dramatic feel.
I asked Paulina the story of her wedding dress and this is what she told me: “My dress was custom made. I saw my dress at a Polish bridal show and I knew I wanted something similar. When we went to the salon I tried on about 15 dresses. I tried the dress I had on and after that no other dress could compete with it. When I put my dress on second time and I came out to the my family members, my mom started crying and by that I knew that was the one for me.”
The gorgeous couple consists of Paulina and Smajo, two very friendly and warm people that anyone would love to know. They met on Facebook and have been together for almost 9 years before we got married. Their wedding day was truly special. They did not see each other until Paulina walked down the aisle. The emotion I captured in Smajo face, was truly priceless! Smajo mentioned that his favorite moment was when the doors open up and he first saw Paulina.
The bride’s dress was seriously gorgeous, too. And I’m not just saying that!
The wedding reception was a lot of fun! Paulina’s favorite moment was their first dance.
Their wedding was breathtaking and unbelievable. They are still shocked that they did everything without any practice or rehearsal.
I asked the couple if they have any advice for couples planning their wedding and here is the answer:
“Do your research and go with your gutt feeling. Enjoy the moment and don’t stress out. Space out things as far as payments and all the little things that need to be done. Taking time and doing things in advance can help limit the stress and help make the overall experience less stressful. Don’t let the little things spoil your day and arguments before the big day will be forgotten once the day comes.”
It was such a delight to work with Paulina and Smajo and I wish them many wonderful years to come.
