Row 24 Chicago Wedding

Sara & Todd Wedding Row 24 Chicago

I’ve got another fabulous wedding for you guys today! The lovable couple consists of Sara & Todd, two people that anyone would love to know. They’ve been together for more than 3 years.

Their wedding day was truly wonderful. They started with getting ready at Hyatt Regency at McCormick Place, near their wedding venue. The bride’s dress was seriously gorgeous, too. And I’m not just saying that! It did feature her beautiful tattoo as well! Sara had her mom along the brides maids helping get ready and then she did a first look with her father. It was a really emotional moment seeing the reaction between them.

We had a lot of fun taking wedding pictures, as well. They decided to do a first look at the Hyatt Regency. The emotion I captured in Todd, was truly priceless! It was one of the most expressive first looks!

After the First Look we did took some more portraits with Sara and Todd, around Hyatt Regency then few outside in front of the Chicago Mercantile Exchange Building! Then we got back in limo and went to the Wrigley Building on Michigan avenue, LaSalle Bridge and last step at Adler Planetarium that was brutally windy.

I discovered this place thanks to my good friend Marius R. and I promise that I will get some wedding portraits here!!

The wedding was at Row 24, the reception was at the same place. Row 24 is located in the historic Motor Row district in Chicago’s South Loop area and has a rustic/industrial feel.Okay, let’s get to the pictures!

Here is a short interview with Sara and Todd about their wedding experience:

 Q. How did you two meet?   A. We Met online on ok Cupid

 Q.  How did he pop the question? A. We designed the ring together, so in a way asking me to do that was popping the question. Todd proposed officially down on one knee in our home on a Friday night before taking me out on a date to a concert

Q. What was your favorite moment(s) from the wedding?
 A. The first look topped for both of us. It was wonderful to share that moment just the two of us.
When the officiant dropped Todd’s ring and I recovered in a slit second was pretty memorable as well.

 Q. How would you describe your overall wedding experience?
A . It was wonderful. It was very connecting for Todd and us to plan the day together and get to know each other more. The day turned out perfectly. It was amazing to get to spend the time with friends and family and each other.

Q. What advice would you offer to other couples planning a wedding?
A. Get a good coordinator and photographer. It will be the best Money you spend.

Q. What photography-related advice would you offer to a couple?
 A. Use the engagement photo session to get to know your photographer. We felt very confident in Doru after that. It made the time leading up to the wedding easier to relax.

Q. Tell me about your dress. Where did you find it, how did you choose it, how did you know it was the one?
A. White dress bridal. I knew I wanted long sleeve so that my tattoos would peak through and not dominate the scene. It had everything I wanted and I felt amazing in it.

Q. Any tips that you have about preparing your wedding party for the photos? What did you tell them, how did you get them to cooperate, what did you do or what would you have done differently?
A. Have a sober responsible close friend come along who’s not in the party to help organize people. There will be someone not paying attention or too drunk to follow direction.

Q. Any tips on what to bring?
A. Straws and Bobby pins. Make sure the veil is secure.

Q. What kind of food was served at your reception?
A. All vegan and it was amazing. Beyond events killed it!

Q. What was the first song you danced to as husband and wife?
A.  Neutral milk hotel- danc over the sea
