Wedding photos at Victoria in The Park

story of Daniela & Jose

We had the honor of photographing Daniela and Jose, a very friendly and happy couple on March 31st. Their wedding was a mixture of cultures and traditions combined. We had a lot of fun taking photos when everyone was getting ready and at several locations with the bridal party. Then we all arrived at the beautiful St. Bartholomew Parish church for the Catholic ceremony. After the union in front of God, and while enjoying some beautiful music by FRANK LUCAS, we moved to the next target.

The next photo session was conducted in downtown Chicago!

With the whole bridal party, we headed to Michigan Avenue at the Magnificent Mile. We then had many funny moments taking photos of the bride and groom at the Marilyn Monroe statue and crossing the crowded streets. Shortly after this, we moved our camp to Millennium Park for a longer photo session with all the bridal party. We were very impressed with the wedding party on how friendly and ready for any photo opportunities they were.  Not to mention how lucky we were with such a patient couple and eager to get as many wedding photos as possible. We took photos at the Chicago Theater, Buckingham Fountain (too bad the water display was stopped) and last stop were at Navy Pier where we met another couple that just got engaged. (Congrats for Brian and Lisa).

Here are images from another wedding that took place at Victoria in the park.

Our time flew very quickly and we soon had to be at the beautiful reception venue, Victoria in the Park, where we enjoyed the modern and surreal ambiance.  Daniela and Jose we are very thankful to have had the opportunity to capture memories of this special day. We enjoyed photographing the celebration that honored both of their families and friends. We wish you all the best and happiness. Congrats!

  1. Wedding days in the US go by very fast. The romanian tradition of partying until 6am does not carry to the US. Not only because people here are not into partying so late like us, romanians, but also because of the crazy laws for alcohol/licence the reception halls have to obey.
So, what I am trying to say is that our wedding day went by so fast we honestly do not remeber much of it. THANK GOD for DORU and CLAUDIA who took some unbelievable digital memories of us and the special moments on our wedding day. We can now look back at our amazing photos and try to piece together our wedding day and see from a viewer’s perspective how our wedding went. Without Doru and Claudia we could almost say we do not know much of our wedding day, but because of their great work we got our story printed in photos. Thank you Doru and Claudia from the bottom of our hearts and we promise to refer you to everyone we know and to whoever we don’t know as well. Your work is incredible and we will never be able to thank you both enough. Sincerely, Jose and Daniela Cabrera
