Sheboygan Wedding – Blue Harbor – Keenan and Matt
Claudia and I first got to know Matt and Keenan during their spring engagement photography session in Barrington IL. They used one of our photos for the save the date cards and invites. It was great to see them again in September in Wisconsin for their beautiful wedding. They had their wedding in Sheboygan and the event first started out with both the bride and groom getting ready at the Blue Harbor.
When everybody was ready, we headed out to the beach where the photo session was held and photographed the bridal party on the beach. Everybody had a lot of fun posing on the beach in their bridal dresses and tuxedos. This was definitely a wedding photo session on the beach to be remembered by both Claudia and I.
You could see Keenan was a bit nervous, but she looked stunning all the way through. She wore an elegant white wedding dress and Matt had on a steal blue tuxedo with a purple polka dot tie. Matt is extremely tall and has a fun loving personality that compliments Keenan’s energetic personality very well. The two have very expressive features, so it was a lot of fun photographing them. At one point during the event, they danced for us with blue-colored sunglasses on. At this time, we had a chance to see Matt’s very colorful multicolored socks. It was fantastic. The groomsmen also had the same sort of humor and each man wore very different and crazy socks too.
The wedding ceremony took place at the St. John Evangelist Parish. It is a very impressive church with lots of detailing. Keenan’s father walked his daughter down the aisle and then the priest began the ceremony. The ring ceremony tied everything together and then we took a couple of traditional photos of the couple and the bridal party inside the church.
There was even a part where we were able to get a little taste of England because there were nicely designed brick walls and arches near the resort. The area was filled with lush green plants and had a mini fountain in the center.
At night the reception took place at The Bull at Pinehurst Farms in Sheboygan Falls. There was a short introduction of everyone in the bridal party and then their close friends made a couple of speeches. The couple had a purple and white wedding cake with mini cupcakes surrounding it so that it could easily be shared with their guests. Matt and Keenan cut the cake together and laughed together as they made a horrible mess while trying to eat the cake. It was a lot of fun to watch! Then to slowly finish the end of the night there was father/daughter and mother/son dances and the first dance between the couple.
